1.
Students (with student ID cards) and
the faculty (with staff certificates) of MCU could apply
for “collaborative library cards” to the library for
book-loan.
2. Each
cooperative library provides MCU with a certain number
of library cards. One could simultaneously borrow one
collaborative library card of each library; before the
borrowed books are all returned, another borrowing of
the same library card is not allowed.
3. The
use term of the library card is one month; all books and
also the library card are required to be returned before
the due date.
4. One
who is suspended from the right of book-loan in MCU
would be also suspended from the right of borrowing
collaborative library cards.
5. Borrowers
have to return their borrowed books to relevant
cooperative libraries; library of MCU do not conduct
book-returning procedures as an agency for borrowers.
6. If
there is a loss of the library card, a notification of
the loss by the borrower should be immediately made to
library of MCU. In case there is any loss caused before
the notification, the borrower of the card should take
full responsibility.
7. A
concordance of the borrower (the applicant) and the
collaborative library card is required for book-loan. If
one borrows books with other applicant’s collaborative
library card by the applicant’s authorization, his or
her right of book-loan would be immediately suspended,
and the applicant of the collaborative library have to
take responsibility of returning all the borrow books.
8. If
the collaborative library card is not returned before
the due date, the borrower would be suspended from the
right of book-loan in cooperative libraries and also in
MCU till the return of the library card.
9. When
books are not returned by the borrower before the due
date, in addition to the punishments made according to
relevant regulations of the cooperative library, we
would also suspend the borrower’s right of book-loan in
MCU till the return of all books.
10.The
use of collaborative library cards is required to be in
compliance with relevant regulations of copyright,
principles of book-loan, principles of overdue fine, and
principles of material indemnification of the libraries;
if there is violation, we could immediately suspend the
borrower’s right of book-loan.
11.The
maximum quantity and the period for loan:
(1)Each
card is for 3 books of the maximum quantity and for two
weeks of the loan term.
(2)No
loan extension or appointment is available.
12.Once
collaborative library cards are all in lending, any loan
extension of the card would not be available.
13.This
norm was adopted through Library Committee Conference,
and was then approved by the president.
